چکیده

The guanine derivative antiviral drug acyclovir (ACV) is one of the oldest molecules put downing triumphant market until date, being commercially accessible in a variety dosage forms for oral, topical and parenteral administrations. Clinical purpose this better to new agents due its potential values such as suppression recurrence, security profile, negligible interactions inexpensive. ACV slightly water soluble, less permeable poorly bioavailable, yet further molecule, physicochemical alterations form approaches resulted with more than 100 research efforts within decade. current study endeavored at formulation chitosan microspheres loaded conquer poor bioavailability recurrent dose administration. Chitosan were prepared by emulsification technique glutaraldehyde cross-linking. A process variables polymer, glutaraldehyde, drug, span 80 concentrations, effect stirring speed time optimized. Formulated characterized loading, invitro release, entrapment efficiency, surface morphology (SEM), particle size analysis FTIR spectroscopy. characterization fabricated demonstrated smooth thin allocation efficiency 80.8% batch. showed controlled release 93.2% over period 8 hrs initial burst 56.7 % first 2hrs. that there was no possible interaction among polymer. From data’s obtained it can be concluded could believed carrier delivery ACV.

Synthesis, Characterization, and Antibacterial Activity of Cross-Linked Chitosan-Glutaraldehyde

This present study deals with synthesis, characterization and antibacterial activity of cross-linked chitosan-glutaraldehyde. Results from this study indicated that cross-linked chitosan-glutaraldehyde markedly inhibited the growth of antibiotic-resistant Burkholderia cepacia complex regardless of bacterial species and incubation time while bacterial growth was unaffected by solid chitosan. Fur...

Formulation and Evaluation of Cross Linked Chitosan Microspheres Containing Mitomycin-c G.vinoth Kumar*and K.anand Babu

The purpose of this research was to formulate and systematically evaluate in vitro performances of chitosan microspheres containing Mitomycin-C. Chitosan microspheres containing Mitomycin-C were prepared by simple emulsification phase separation technique using glutaraldehyde as a cross-linking agent. Results of preliminary trials indicate that volume of cross-linking agent, time for cross-link...

β- Galactosidase mediated release characteristics of lornoxicam loaded guar gum microspheres: evaluation and product development

The present investigation was aimed at developing a novel colon targeted system of lornoxicam based on the use of a combination of pH dependent system (to prevent the premature release of drug in the upper GIT) and enzymatically degradation system (to ensure the specificity of drug release in the colon). The drug loaded guar gum microspheres prepared by emulsification cross-linking method were ...
